Meet Dr. Amy Day

Dr. Amy Day

Amy Day, ND

About My Practice

I see my role as not only your doctor, but as your detective and your coach, too. I start by listening to your story and helping you figure out and understand your symptoms. Then, I educate you about steps you can take to improve your health and give you encouragement to continue along that path. My treatment plans are individualized and may include diet, exercise, herbs, supplements, hydrotherapy, and homeopathy. I like to work cooperatively with your other healthcare providers and will make referrals when appropriate.

My Expertise

I practice general naturopathic medicine with an emphasis on women’s health. I offer annual GYN exams and work with a range of conditions in all stages of life including PMS, PCOS, endometriosis, infertility, and menopause. As I strive to treat the whole person, I look at many aspects of health including nutrition, digestion, sleep, aches/pains, and overall energy level.

My other special interest is in physical medicine and sports medicine. I offer integrated bodywork sessions that include energy work and soft tissue techniques to release and relax physical symptoms and general stress.

My Philosophy

My approach is to help people realize that they can take an active role in their own healthcare. This includes making healthy choices about diet, exercise, supplements, medications, environmental exposures, social influences, thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. With everything that the body is exposed to, it is in a constant effort to find balance. When we give support and remove obstacles, the body is truly able to heal itself.

My Credentials

Education & Training:

  • Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine, National College of Naturopathic Medicine, Portland, Oregon, 2004
  • Two years of mentorship in a naturopathic women’s health clinic in Portland, Oregon
  • California Naturopathic License ND 4
Member:
  • American Association of Naturopathic Physicians
  • California Naturopathic Doctors Association, Board of Directors
  • Endometriosis Association, Physician Member
